The Library

We've been busy giving our school library a fresh new feel and it's already making a big difference.

One of the most exciting additions is our brand new Book Request Station, where children can share their ideas for books they'd love to see on the shelves. It's a simple way to give pupils a voice - and they've certainly risen to the challenge already with some fantastic suggestions!

Alongside this, we've added lots of new books, carefully chosen to inspire, engage and reflect a wide range of interests. From page-turning adventures to thought-provoking stories, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

We're also shining a spotlight on reading through children's own book recommendations. These peer picks are helping to spark curiosity and encourage others to try something new because who better to recommend a great book than a great friend?

Finally, our new Reading Spine display proudly showcases the texts that shape our reading journey across the school. It celebrates the themes we have carefully woven throughout, the authors we treasure and the shared experiences that bring our reading community together.

It's safe to say that our library is buzzing with excitement!

World Book Day 2026

World Book Day Display

For World Book Day this year, children across our school explored the picture book 'Chooch Helped' written by Andrea L. Rogers - a Caldecott Medal winning picture book. Using the story as our inspiration, pupils celebrated their love of reading by creating artwork, writing reflections and sharing their favourite books with one another. Above is a picture of our whole school display celebrating the wonderful responses from across the school.

Entrance Foyer

We've recently updated our school foyer to better reflect what matters most in our community. A new display of photographs now celebrates our school values of CourageUnity and Ambition, capturing real moments from school life where these values shine through. The images highlight the experiences, achievements and everyday actions that help make our school such a special place to learn and grow. Come along and have a look!

Young Voices 2026

Our school choir had the exciting opportunity to take part in the Young Voices concert. Joining thousands of children from schools across the country, they performed together in a spectacular celebration of music and singing. It was a memorable experience for our pupils and a wonderful chance to share their love of music on such a grand stage.

Girls Football Tournament

Girls Football Tournament

A group of Year 5 girls represented our school at a five-a-side football festival. They played four games and had such a superb afternoon, showing great teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout.

As the games went on, the girls grew in belief, confidence and strength as a team and this was a joy to see! We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them.
